Biography

Justine Leigh-Bell is the Executive Director of the Anthropocene Fixed Income Institute (AFII), a global non-profit organization based in London and Stockholm with the aim to empower the fixed income markets to drive the climate transition. Justine has spent much of her career helping business leaders, financial institutions and governments find solutions to the global challenges of climate change and sustainable development. Previously, she was the Deputy CEO at the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI), an investor focused not for profit working to mobilize debt capital markets for climate change solutions where she worked closely with both public and private sector actors in developing national policy guidelines and investment roadmaps that would enable emerging economies to access green bond financing. She has a M.Sc. in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and post-graduate training in molecular genomics at Yale. She serves as an advisor to a number of charities and social enterprises in the UK and US.
