Biography

Jan Job (JJ) de Vries Robbé brings extensive experience in international and sustainable finance, 15+ years of which at the Dutch Development Bank FMO, both as manager of legal affairs and senior counsel. JJ also served in private practice roles in both The Netherlands and Australia. With a practice ranging from impact investing to renewable projects, he developed a focus on structured finance and sustainable debt capital markets, authoring a range of books on securitisation and structured products. JJ has a particular interest in sustainability litigation, corporate responsibility and empowering sustainability in emerging markets.

JJ combines his work at FMO with teaching sustainable finance at the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, and more recently Erasmus University Rotterdam.
