Savings and Investment Union Lab (SIU Lab)

Launched in 2026, the Savings and Investments Union Lab (SIU Lab) aims to support the development of a more integrated and effective European Savings and Investments Union.
The initiative seeks to contribute to the policy debate on capital mobility barriers in the EU by generating new analytical evidence, illustrating the benefits of deeper market integration, and supporting more effective policy design and implementation.
The Lab will integrate research activities, including work on DLT and tokenisation, as well as the nexus between sustainable finance and capital markets integration, and training activities delivered through a newly established SIU Academy, to strengthen capacity building and policy dialogue at the European level.
