As the EU Supervisory Digital Academy (EU-SDFA) readies for its second year, the Florence School of Banking and Finance is pleased to highlight the Academy’s achievements in its inaugural year.

Together with the European Commission (DG REFORM) and the three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA) we gathered and trained more than 750 participants from all over Europe, fostering collaborative learning and networking opportunities.

What’s next

EU-SDFA will kick off its 2023-2024 activities in October. In Autumn, we’ll host six editions of the ‘Foundational Training Week’ at the European University Institute, in Florence. Looking forward to welcoming all the new participants!

Background

The EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy is a TSI flagship initiative aimed at supporting financial supervisory authorities in coping with the risks and opportunities associated with the use of advanced technologies in the financial sector. The European Commission – DG Reform has established the Academy in cooperation with the three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA – ESMA – EIOPA) and the Florence School of Banking and Finance part of the Robert Schuman Centre of the European University Institute (FBF-EUI). The EU-SDFA encompasses comprehensive training cycles and workshops enabling the acquisition of new expertise and skills, knowledge sharing and peer-to-peer exchanges within the financial supervisory community.

Our role in EU-SDFA

Our tasks include curriculum development, organising residential and online training, and handling communication-related to the Academy’s activities.
