Biography

Tania De Renzis is a senior economist at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), which she joined in 2013. Her work focuses on investment funds, with a particular emphasis on consumer protection, investor behaviour, and information disclosure. She is an expert in these areas and has contributed extensively to related policy and analytical work. She has also worked on financial stability issues, especially in the context of non-bank financial intermediation. Before joining ESMA, she held positions at the European Central Bank (ECB) and the UK Payment Systems Regulator (PSR), and has also worked at the central banks of Finland and Malta. Tania holds a Master of Science and a PhD in Finance from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
