Biography

Sebastian Mack is a Senior Policy Fellow for European financial markets at the Jacques Delors Centre, the EU think tank of the Hertie School in Berlin. His research focuses on sustainable finance, European banking supervision and resolution, capital markets union and financial crime. Previously, he worked as an academic assistant and policy advisor to a German Member of the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee and as an audit senior for prudential regulation at an internationally leading accounting firm. Due to his experience in the private sector and in the legislative machinery of the EU, Sebastian is a frequently consulted independent expert and his critical but constructive views are published in leading media.
