Biography

Rebecca Christie is a senior fellow at Bruegel, the Brussels-based economic think tank. She hosts The Sound of Economics podcast and does research on EU finance and capital markets. In 2024 she was in residence for five months at the European Central Bank as a senior economist, and she was lead author on the official history of the European Stability Mechanism. Before her research career, Rebecca was a journalist for more than 20 years, mainly in Washington and Brussels.
