Biography

Peter Vis is a former official of the European Commission having worked in the areas of climate, energy, transport and taxation, Peter has co-directed an STG distance-learning course on Climate Governance (2019). For the 2014-2015 academic year Peter was EU Visiting Fellow at St. Antony’s College, Oxford University, UK. From 2010-2014 he was Chief of Staff to the European Commissioner for Climate Action, Connie Hedegaard. He worked in the Private Office of Andris Piebalgs, European Commissioner for Energy from 2007-2010, where he was responsible for renewable energy.
