Biography
Nikolas Passos is a Research Associate at the Florence School of Banking and Finance (FBF), engaged in training programs of the EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy. He is a PhD Candidate in Transnational Governance at Scuola Normale Superiore, where his research focuses on the roles of Central Banks and Development Finance in Latin America. Nikolas also holds a Master’s degree in the Economics of Industry and Technology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Prior to his tenure at the FBF, he worked at the United Nations – ECLAC and in Corporate Banking at HSBC. His research interests span development finance, international political economy, and the evolving fields of digital finance, including AI and DLT.
