Biography

Nikita Divissenko is Assistant Professor in Law and Technology at the International and European Law (IER) Department of the Utrecht School of Law. He is also a researcher at the Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe (RENFORCE) and his main research interest lies at the intersection of digital finance, regulation and technological innovation.

Nikita obtained his PhD from the European University Institute (EUI) in 2022, and holds LLM degrees in International, European and Comparative Law (EUI) and in European Law from Leiden University (cum laude). Prior to joining Utrecht University he was a research associate at the Florence School of Banking & Finance (Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies). Nikita has been member of Estonian Bar since 2014.
