Biography
Nico Lauridsen is a Research Associate at the Florence School of Banking and Finance at the European University Institute (EUI). He currently serves as the scientific coordinator of the EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy for SupTech and AI supervision. He is also a member of the expert group at EIOPA on the use of data in insurance and a visiting scholar at ESMA. Previously, he was a visiting research fellow at the Bank for International Settlements and worked at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance. He holds a PhD from the University of Bologna and was a visiting researcher at the Judge Business School. Prior to his academic career, he gained experience in several fintech startups.
