Biography

Michiel Kuhlmann is an Expert under the Oversight Department of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). Michiel started his career in the private sector and moved to EIOPA in 2021, with the development of Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the EU Systemic Cyber Incident Coordination Framework (EU-SCICF) as key focus areas. Michiel holds master’s degrees in the fields of Financial Law and Financial Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and a joint degree from the University of Bologna, Aix-Marseille University and the University of Hamburg.
