Biography

Michael Levi is Professor of Criminology at the School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University.
He graduated from Oxford, Cambridge and Southampton Universities and has been Professor of Criminology at Cardiff University since 1975. He has researched the control of white-collar and organised crime, corruption and money laundering/financing of terrorism since 1972, building an international reputation for excellence in both fundamental and policy-oriented research. He played an advisory role both internationally (with the European Commission and Parliament, Europol, Council of Europe, UN and World Economic Forum) and in the United Kingdom (with the UK Home Office and Cabinet Office, and with the Crime Statistics Advisory Committee).
