Biography

Luca Giaccherini joined the European Central Bank (ECB) in 2014 and is currently the Coordinator of the Joint Supervisory Team in charge of the prudential supervision of one of the largest European banks. Previously he was an Adviser in the ECB Directorate in charge of supervision of major SSM banking groups with a focus on credit and market risk internal models and capital markets. He started his career in the Supervisory Directorate of the Bank of Italy where he has been involved in policy and supervisory work related to the development and implementation of the Basel II regulation.
