Biography
Lea has been with Prometeia since 2008 and leads the firm’s research on financial markets and intermediaries. Her expertise spans finance, monetary policy, banking, credit markets, and macroeconomics. In addition to her core responsibilities, she coordinates Prometeia’s sustainability-related research activities, including the GRINS project, which involves 12 Italian universities and several other private institutions. Before joining Prometeia, she was an economist at the Bank of England, conducting research on financial stability, credit markets, banking regulation, and financial markets. She also has university-level teaching experience, having taught introductory finance at Columbia University and financial risk assessment at the master’s level at Johns Hopkins SAIS in Bologna. She holds a PhD in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School in New York.
