Biography

Julien is currently the LCH SA Deputy Chief Risk Officer and Chief Operating Officer since 2019. He has been working for LSEG during the past 14 years starting on the design and quantitative modelling of margin models and frameworks, to ensure appropriate risk coverage in the context of EMIR compliance. In 2016, in line with market practice he set up the Market Risk team within the Risk department following the embedment of the three lines of defence model. He has an extensive knowledge of Risk Management and Financial Markets including strong exposure to FMI and regulators. Moreover, with his various roles he has been exposed to several crisis from a credit, market, business continuity or cyber perspective. He is actively engaged in market place forums (EACH, CCP Global, FMI Forum) in order to help enhancing on a continuous manner the Risk Management practices, share experiences and explore emerging threats remediation streams. Julien started his career in two US financial institutions before joining a small company specialized in assessing structured products. He has a Master in Finance (ESCP), Civil Engineering (EIVP) and Mathematics (University Pierre & Marie Curie).
