Biography

Joana Margarido is Deputy Head of the Resolution Department at Banco de Portugal, where she has worked for more than 15 years, specializing in bank resolution and crisis management. She played an active role in the resolution of BES (2014) and BANIF (2015) and represents Banco de Portugal in several European and international fora. She has also served as an external advisor to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Joana holds a Law degree and a Master’s degree in Criminal Psychology
