Biography

Hem Pant is a distinguished Cyber and Business Risk Executive with over 25 years of experience in Global Systemically Important Financial Institutions (G-SIFIs), most recently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for UK & Europe at HSBC. He is a recognized expert in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, having acted as a trusted adviser to the ECB, PRA, FCA, and FED on matters of operational resilience, DORA, and AI governance. Hem has held pivotal leadership roles at BNY Mellon, JP Morgan Chase, and ING, where he was instrumental in developing industry-standard resilience frameworks, including the TIBER-EU red-teaming governance. Beyond his corporate executive roles, he contributes to the global security community through advisory positions with the NCSC UK, the Bank of England AI Task Force, and as Chair of the Cyber Risk Institute Standards Committee. He holds an MS in Information and Communication Technology and maintains numerous elite certifications, including CISSP, CISM, and CISA.
