Biography

Fabio Ficci graduated in Economics at the University of Foggia and currently serves as the national coordinator of five Internal Resolution teams (IRT) for significant banking groups at the Banca d’Italia’s Crisis Management Unit. Previously, he worked as an economist-statistician at the European Central Bank, where he coordinated a working group at European level; member of a number of national working groups and, as an Italian representative, of international working groups within the statistics and bank crisis regulation fields. In these fora, he has had the opportunity to delve into several topics, ranging from data collection for supervisory and resolution purposes to a wide spectrum of bank-related crisis management issues within both the European resolution framework and the US regulatory framework. Finally, he frequently holds university seminars on Economics. Other interests of his include writing novels and music articles, sports and travelling.
