Biography

Elisabeth Noble is a Senior Policy Advisor and the Principal Advisor on innovation at the European Banking Authority. She leads the EBA’s policy work on crypto-assets, including MiCAR implementation, the platformisation of financial services, and structural change in the EU financial sector, and leads the team responsible for the delivery of the EBA’s thematic innovation work. She represents the EBA in EU and international standard-setter work streams relating to FinTech, financial system interconnectedness, and the regulatory perimeter. Prior to joining the EBA in 2014, Elisabeth spent 7 years at the UK’s finance ministry advising primarily on the response to the 2008/9 financial crisis, including resolution measures, and the post-crisis domestic and EU regulatory reforms, including the reforms to the regulatory architecture of the EU (Banking Union). Elisabeth has also spent some time in the private sector. Elisabeth is a Visiting Professor in Practice at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Visiting Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advance Studies, EUI (Florence).
