Biography

Djamel Bouzemarene is the Team Leader on governance within the Prudential Regulation and Supervisory Policy Division of the European Banking Authority. A lawyer with a Master Degree in international and European law, a postgraduate in business law and a Master in European Business, Djamel has more than 15 years of experience in internal governance, both on the regulatory and supervisory side. He was also a lawyer within the Legal Division of the French Banking and Insurance Supervisor, Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution – ACPR, in charge of AML/CFT, internal governance and various aspects related to the supervision of credit and insurance institutions for five years. Djamel is a seasoned key speaker at various international conferences in his areas of expertise.
