Biography

Diletta Lenzi is Assistant Professor in Company Law at the University of Genoa since 2024 and a member of the Academic Board of the PhD Program in European Studies at the University of Genoa.

Former Post-doc researcher at the University of Trento (2018-2020) and the University of Florence (2020-2023), she was a visiting researcher at the Georgetown University (Washington D.C.) and the Harris Manchester College of the Oxford University. Legal consultant for the World Bank Group – Global Forum on Law Justice and Development (2015-2016) on the Human-centred business model research project and UNIDROIT Sir Roy Goode Scholar 2023. She obtained a PhD in Business Law at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, with a thesis on Corporate law and the risk of environmental damage (2018). She holds the Italian National Academic Qualification as Associate Professor of Business Law (since 2023).

She is an Academic Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence EU Sustainable Finance and Law (EUSFiL), and the Genoa Centre for Law and Finance. Since 2023, she joined the UNIDROIT’s working group on verified carbon credits.

Her main fields of research include company law, insolvency law, and business and sustainability.
