Biography

Diarmuid Murphy is Director of Executive Education, Sustainability and International Markets at IOB, where he leads sustainability initiatives and oversees the design and international delivery of executive education programmes. He brings over 20 years of experience from the Central Bank of Ireland, having worked extensively on sustainability, central banking, prudential supervision and crisis management across international institutions. His experience includes roles and collaboration with organisations such as the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank, the Bank for International Settlements’ Financial Stability Institute, and the European Commission. In addition, he serves as an external consultant to the IMF on financial stability issues and has authored a range of publications on central banking and financial stability. He is also a faculty member at Warwick Business School, where he teaches comparative central banking on the Global Central Banking Master’s programme.
