Biography

David Whyte is the Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Tidal Point Software, where he drives the development of innovative solutions that integrate AI, privacy, and security to enhance cyber resilience. Previously, David served as Head of Corporate Security and the creator of the Cyber Resilience Coordination Centre (CRCC) at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), overseeing global physical and IT security, cyber incident response, and international cyber resilience coordination for a central bank community representing 95% of global GDP. Prior to BIS, he was Technical Director of Cyber Defence at Canada’s Communications Security Establishment (CSE), leading next-generation cyber threat detection for the Government of Canada. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Master’s degree from MIT in System Design and Management.
