Biography

Daniele Di Stazio is an Innovation Expert at the Italian Banking Association (ABI), where he focuses on financial innovation, with particular emphasis on wholesale financial market infrastructures, digital currencies, distributed ledger technologies and artificial intelligence. He is actively involved in research and advocacy towards national and European institutions and regularly contributes as a speaker at industry events.

He has coordinated strategic experimentation projects in the financial sector, including wholesale DLT-based settlement initiatives conducted in collaboration with the Banca d’Italia and the European Central Bank. He also participates in the ECB contact groups on wholesale topics, including the NTW Contact Group and the Pontes Market Contact Group, as well as in working groups of the European Banking Federation.

Before joining ABI, he worked at ABI Lab and at Deloitte, focusing on blockchain and digital transformation in financial services.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from LUISS Guido Carli and has completed executive training in blockchain and innovation.
