Biography
Daniel Heller is a monetary economist specializing in the regulation of FMIs (Financial Market Infrastructures). He is also a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Blockchain Technologies (CBT) at University College London (UCL). In recent years, he has been advisor to several private sector firms in the payments and settlement area.
He has held various executive positions at the Swiss National Bank (SNB), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He received a PhD degree in Economics from University of Bern and was a research fellow at Stanford University as well as the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE).
