Biography

Christopher Wilson is an independent consultant specializing in banking regulation and supervision. With over 25 years of experience in global financial services, he provides expert advice on topics ranging from prudential regulation, operational resilience and cybersecurity. He consults for a mix of public and private sector clients such as the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. From 2012 to 2021, Chris was a Senior Financial Sector Expert with the IMF and prior Chris was a Senior Manager at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority. He holds a master’s degree of Politics and Public Policy, and an undergraduate degree in Economics, both from Macquarie University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity from University of Queensland. In 2022, he was appointed a Research Affiliate with the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance collaborating on the Regulatory Genome Project and in June 2023 he was appointed a Visiting Scholar with the IMF.
