Biography

Christoph Fricke is employee at the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) Secretariat. His main tasks include coordination of the European Systemic Cyber risk expert group (ESCG), systemic risk analyses in the fund sector and network analyses of the financial system. Prior to the ESRB, Christoph was with the Deutsche Bundesbank (Bbk) since 2012, where he worked on various topics related to shadow banking and financial innovations at the Directorate General Financial Stability. In the Directorate General Statistics he coordinated work on derivatives and repo markets data collection initiatives (EMIR and SFTR). During his time at Bbk, Christoph was seconded to the Bank of International Settlements. Christoph received his PhD (Econ) from Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), Germany in 2012. His research interests include market microstructure and systemic risk analysis. Christoph has published several academic articles related to investment funds, financial stability and financial markets in academic journals like Journal of Banking & Finance and Journal of Financial Stability.
