Biography

Christoph Fricke works at the Deutsche Bundesbank. Until September 2022, he was a Senior Financial Stability Expert at the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) Secretariat, working on systemic cyber risk, systemic risk analyses in the fund sector and network analyses of the financial system. Prior to the ESRB, Christoph was at Deutsche Bundesbank on shadow banking and financial innovations at the Directorate General Financial Stability. In the Directorate General Statistics he coordinated work on derivatives and repo markets data collection initiatives (EMIR and SFTR). During that time, Christoph was seconded to the Bank of International Settlements. Christoph received his PhD (Econ) from Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), Germany in 2012. Christoph has published several academic articles related to investment funds, financial stability and financial markets.
