Biography

Barbara Jarmulska is currently Senior Financial Stability Expert in the Macroprudential Policy Division of the European Central Bank. In her work she analyses risks arising in particular from the financial sector and the real estate. She joined the ECB in 2016 and has since worked in Financial Stability, Economics and Market Operations. Prior to that, she was Economist in the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the Polish Ministry of Finance. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics. Her research interests include macroprudential policies, early-warning models and fiscal economics.
