Biography

Ana Rita Campos is Head of the Fit and Proper (FAP) Division in Banking Supervision, Directorate General SSM Governance & Operations (DG-SGO) at the European Central Bank. The FAP Division acts as gatekeeper for board members and key function holders in the banking market, towards adequate and robust governance structures. Ana Rita joined the ECB in May 2016 to lead the first ECB’s Boards Suitability Assessment Section. Prior to the ECB she worked at the Banco de Portugal, in a management position also linked to fit and proper assessments and before that as a lawyer in Portuguese leading law firms in the banking and finance and corporate governance areas. Ana Rita holds a master degree in Law and a post graduation in International Trade and Business Law.
