Biography

Aloys Wijngaards works at the De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) as head of the expert center on governance, behavior and culture in financial supervision. Previously, Aloys was Secretary to the Governing and Supervisory Boards of DNB and worked as a senior adviser on strategy and governance. Aloys studied theology and economics at Radboud University Nijmegen (NL) and George Mason University (VA, U.S.) and obtained his Ph.D. from Radboud University on the subject of questions of meaning of life and ethics in economic behavior. Next to his work at DNB, Aloys is a part-time yoga teacher.
