Biography
Alexandre Garcia is currently deputy head of the ACPR’s International Banking Affairs Division and has over 8 years of experience in banking prudential policy matters, in particular capital, liquidity, credit risk, climate risk and governance topics. He has recently led a working group of the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) which published on 9 April 2026 a Report on supervision of nature-related risks. Throughout his career at ACPR, he has contributed to several BCBS and EBA working groups, supporting the negotiation and implementation of Basel 3 and the three banking packages. He also has experience in supervision, having worked at Banque de France on the oversight of central counterparties. Alexandre Garcia holds two Master’s Degrees in Public Affairs (Sciences Po Paris) and Market Finance (CNAM).
