Biography

Agnieszka Smoleńska is Senior Policy Fellow at CETEx leading the work on transition planning in the financial sector, and a long-time collaborator of the European Banking Institute first as Young Researcher and since 2020 as Associate Researcher. Agnieszka holds a PhD in Law from the European University Institute (2020), where she has been Part-Time Assistant Professor with the Florence School of Banking and Finance (FBF). For almost 15 years, she has worked as an academic, policy advisor and journalist in Brussels, Florence, Jerusalem and Warsaw with a view to improving policymaking in the area of economic regulation. Her research interests span banking law, sustainability transition and euro area governance.
