First contributions to the Banking Supervision Policy Working Paper Series

The first session of the Banking Supervision Policy Working Papers series, an initiative under the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM)–European University Institute (EUI) partnership, was successfully held in Frankfurt, providing a platform for academic exchange. This initiative seeks to deepen the involvement of the SSM community in academic debates, offering researchers an opportunity to present their findings, engage with peers, and receive constructive feedback to further refine their work in the field of banking supervision policy. 

The event was introduced by Pedro Teixeira, Director General of SSM Governance and Operations, European Central Bank and Thorsten Beck (Director, Florence School of Banking and Finance, European University Institute). 

Moderated by Mario Quagliariello (Director of Supervisory Strategy and Risk, European Central Bank) and Thorsten Beck, the sessions encouraged dynamic exchanges between authors and attendees.

Call for Papers Remains Open 

For those interested in contributing to this academic endeavour, the call for papers is still open. Researchers working on topics related to banking supervision and regulation are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. Selected papers may have the opportunity to be presented in future sessions of the series.
