Take part in a debate on how the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) is reshaping the field of impact investing in Europe

Join us for a public online seminar on the role of the SFDR in sustainable finance and the challenges it poses for impact investors.

With insights from academia, this session will address a central question: Does the SFDR create a more transparent, credible framework that supports green focused investors, or does it risk overburdening them with compliance while leaving impact outcomes uncertain?

In this interactive session, we will touch on several aspects, including:

  • What opportunities does the SFDR open for impact investors seeking to demonstrate real-world outcomes?
  • How do its disclosure requirements affect investment strategies and fund design?
  • What risks of greenwashing remain despite the regulation’s ambition?
  • How does the SFDR interact with other EU sustainable finance initiatives, such as the Taxonomy and CSRD?
  • What lessons can be drawn for aligning financial regulation with broader sustainability goals?

The webinar will feature reflections by Dr. Nathan de Arriba-Sellier, offering both an academic perspective and practical insights into the way forward for sustainable finance.
