The Florence School of Banking and Finance and the European Stability Mechanism are pleased to invite you to the conference EU Savings and Investments Union: Bringing Capital Markets to People and Firms, 4–5 June 2025, Luxembourg & Online.
This high-level event will bring together senior researchers and leading figures from the public and private sectors to explore the benefits of deeper capital market integration for the EU economy and to discuss the policy priorities needed to advance this agenda.
Spanning two days, the conference will feature an academic programme followed by a high-level policy forum. It is organised in collaboration with two CEPR Research and Policy Networks: European Economic Policy and Financial Architecture.
Key discussions will explore how capital market integration can enhance social welfare and support the real economy, with particular attention to financial system structures that facilitate SME financing.
Policy sessions will examine barriers to integration and assess potential solutions. Topics will include strategies to increase retail investor participation, unlock venture capital, and strengthen the complementarity between public and private financing.
The full programme and registration (in person and online) are available here.
